Located on the courtyard of the castle – actually on its western terrace, Hradna Hviezda is a unique place to dine at. Just think about it… how often do you have a chance to eat at a castle? :)
This part of the castle is very romantic – with green grass, benches and tall lamps (magical especially at night!). In summer the restaurant has an outdoor terrace which is great if you want to enjoy some sun or fresh breeze.
You’re gonna love the atmosphere! White tablecloths, candles on the table, wooden furniture, big chandeliers together with highly professional staff and nice piano music played in the background create a superb environment to enjoy your meal. This is the first, main room:

WHAT TO HAVE IN THE HRADNA HVIEZDA?
Typical regional meals are offered at Hradna Hviezda. This means you will be happy if you are a fan of Slovak, Hungarian or Austrian cuisine. Our huge recommendation is the deer goulash with homemade breadroll dumpling which comes with a slice of an orange. One big like from us! If you are a meat eater, you might also like the pork tenderloin stuffed with bacon, accompanied with fried potatoes and onions and garlic dressing. Quite a portion!
Their menu changes seasonally – but if you are lucky to be around when they have the grilled zander with pea and mint puree, definitely give it a try. Super healthy, super tasty!
For a sweet alternative (or a dessert, if you are a big eater), have the Slovak specialty – dumplings (domace sulance) with poppy seed and butter or the version with crashed nuts and butter. They are also available in Slovak Pub or Flag ship restaurant. We can also recommend the chocolate & almond cake served with fruit and whipped cream – it contains no flour – so you don’t need to feel guilty so much :)
In the autumn season they offer the sweet version of “lokše” – potato dumplings with jam and poppy seed filling.
This restaurant is recommended for those who are looking for a combination of real great food and professional service. The prices are a bit higher but at least you can see what you are paying for. It is definitely worth it :)
